Description

"Darkness. It was all consuming. Was the girl safe? She did not know. How long had she been down here, a day? a week? a month? With no light the days start to blend into one another. There was no light, and no human contact. Crawling around in the dark, she occasionally found a tray of sustenance, not that she would ever call it food. It meant something was keeping her alive. But it was thoughts of the girl, and her desire for revenge that kept her going. She would not hesitate next time.

She had been gravely underestimated. They had not taken her armour, nor her sword. They thought this woman could not pose a threat, laughing as the warrior men of this nation do at the notion of a female wielding steel. The only reason the guards who faced her still live were for thoughts of buying the girl enough time to escape. She refused to die here,  and while the state of events outside of her cell remained a mystery to her, she knew one thing.

The next time light fell upon her blade, this city would run red."

Bought a great gumroad tutorial by Anthony Jones, and was trying out some new techniques :) While painting, I started writing a small story/blurb for the character above, was fun and let me practice some writing as well as painting.
